Opened in 2000, Mardi Gras Casino is one of the favorites in Black Hawk for its charming castle-like building and variety of gaming. It’s officially called the Golden Mardi Gras Casino after it was acquired by the Golden Casino Group, which also runs Golden Gates and Golden Gulch casinos in town.

The theme of the casino features a New Orleans Cajun vibe, and obviously centered around Mardi Gras. The castle exterior itself exudes a French influence. The casino is connected via an indoor bridge to the Golden Gates Casino, so it’s easy to walk back and forth. Valet and free parking is available at the Golden Gates Casino garage.
Mardi Gras is surrounded by Black Hawk’s largest casinos, including Ameristar and The Lodge. It’s also massive itself, with a well laid out gaming floor. Enjoy a myriad of electronic gambling, from video poker to video slots. Table games are in abundance, with up to 14 blackjack tables going at once.
